Film Festival on Homelessness - 10/16

Our friends at Depaul USA are hosting a film screening about homelessness on Tuesday, October 16, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Painted Bride Arts Center, 230 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19106. “Homelessness Has A Name,” the inaugural film festival, will be followed by a speaker’s panel of experts that will examine the issue further. The goal of the festival is to dispel stereotypes and bring attention to homeless peoples’ stories.

Earlier this year, nineteen short films were submitted from across the nation and from the United Kingdom to compete for a grand prize of $1,500. The coordinating committee for the event included staff from Depaul USA, Bethesda Project, One Step Away and Project HOME in a unique cross-agency collaboration.

The event is free. More information is available at the website,

Please spread the word!
