A few years ago, I had someone come to me on Election Day asking what she needed to do in order to register to vote. Since Pennsylvania has no same-day registration (you have to be registered at least a month in advance to vote), she was out of luck for that election. But it made me realize that for people who aren't registered, the day after an election is one of the best times to remind people to get ready for next year.
- If you are not registered to vote, you have to be registered by April 19, 2010, to participate in the May primaries in Pennsylvania. Forms are available online or at County Voter Registration Offices.
- You can also sign up to receive email or text message reminders about the May primaries so that you don't miss Election Day.
